YOU are the true main character! Fight your arch nemesis in mortal combat, where only one of you can walk away from this and advance your plot. But what if your arch nemesis, in defeat, transforms into the TRUE main character? Don't worry though, YOU, the player, will always be the TRUE main character!

This game is made for the GMTK Game Jam 2023, with the theme "Roles Reversed". In this game, "Roles Reversed" is fulfilled in 2 ways.

First is "narratively", where the title of main character, and thereby the character you control, complete with anime-style powering up, gets swapped around every time you "defeat"  your opponent.

Second is more mechanically, where now that you have swapped characters, you get to enjoy all the strengths you were fighting against at the cost of now fighting against all the strengths you once had.

Move - Arrow keys

Jump - Space

Dash - Left Shift

Attack - C

Additional Moves:

Neutral Attacks - C -> C -> C (3rd one needs to be unlocked)

Knock Up - C + Up Arrow (only works on ground)

Slam Down - C + Down Arrow (only works midair)

Dash Attack - C while dashing (Left Shift)
